EEX AG is pleased to announce that its European Gas Spot Index (EEX EGSI) is now available within all EEX Group DataSource services and directly on EEX’s website via the data widgets.
On 30 December 2022, the EEX EGSI revised methodology was introduced. Until now, EEX EGSI has been available on the EEX website through downloadable files. However with the integration of EEX EGSI data widgets on the EEX website, these downloadable files will be discontinued from 31 March 2024. Until then, the files will continue to be updated and available for download.
In addition to the website, the EGSI values can now be retrieved through EEX DataSource services: EEX Group DataSource API, EEX Group DataSource sFTP, EEX Group DataSource Desktop App and EEX Group DataSource XLS Tool.
Please note that EEX EGSI access on the sFTP server will be granted free of charge, to all existing customers, until 31 December 2023.
From 1 January 2024, customers with:
- an existing paid subscription to EEX End of Day (EoD) or EEX EGSI, contracted before 31 December 2022, will benefit from a free of charge EEX EGSI access on the sFTP server until further notice;
- no existing paid subscription to EEX EGSI can subscribe to EEX EGSI (with an associated cost).
Should you need to retrieve EEX EGSI data for internal usage, please do not hesitate to subscribe directly via the EEX Group Webshop. Should you wish to share EEX EGSI data with affiliated companies or clients as external usage, please reach out to EEX Market Data Services.
