Dear Trading Participants,
The European Energy Exchange (EEX) will expand its product offering on the EEX Natural Gas, LNG and EUA derivatives markets with new tradable maturities effective from Monday, 11 December 2023.
Product setup
The new tradable maturities will be available at EEX for order book trading and trade registration as follows:
1) Extended maturities for EEX Natural Gas and LNG Futures

2) Maturity Extension EUA Futures & optimisation of expiries for EUA Options
Following the recent revision of the ETS directive (2003/87/EC), including the shift of the compliance deadline to surrender allowances from 30 April to 30 September, EEX will adjust the listing cycle for futures and option expiries to provide market participants with more flexible trading and hedging opportunities. For EUA futures, three July and August expiries and for EUA options, two August expiries will always be available for trading. For EUA options, the tradable quarter and year expiries will be reduced in line with market demand to the setup stated below.

Transaction fees
The following standard transaction and clearing fees will apply according to the EEX AG List of Services and Prices and ECC price list.

Admission/Product Assignment
All trading participants admitted for the existing product groups at EEX and approved by ECC to trade these EEX Derivatives products will automatically receive access to the additional tradable expiries. Please contact EEX Customer Care (membership@eex.com or +33 (0)1 7036 33 42) in case of admission-related questions.
Technical access
For Members trading through the solutions provided by TT screen, Trayport® Joule® SaaS these additional tradable maturities will be automatically added within the corresponding
Trayport instrument for each hub.
The registration of trades via Clearing Registration Service (eXRP), Trayport Clearing Link or Touchpoint can be used without additional adjustments.
