The Supervisory Board of European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) has appointed Mrs. Anja Kiessling as a member of the Management Board of EEX AG in its meeting today. Mrs. Kiessling will take over the role of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with immediate effect.
In Anja Kiessling, the Supervisory Board has appointed a specialist for finance and group management to the Management Board, who already knows EEX Group from various areas. The 38-year-old joined EEX in 2008 in the Market Operations department. In 2010, she moved from the Operations business to the Controlling department, which she has managed since 2011. Before joining EEX, the Saxony-born, Business Administration graduate and certified accountant was employed by an auditing company.
As CFO, Anja Kiessling succeeds the long-standing CFO Iris Weidinger, who left the company at her own request in mid-2020.
