Dear trading participants,
The EEX exchange management has evaluated the present mistrade ranges and adjusted them to the current market conditions. The new ranges will be effective from 1 July 2016 onwards.
The mistrade range, set around a reference price, is a fair benchmark for assessing mistrade applications. If the price of a transaction is set outside this range, a significant deviation from the fair market price is given. In case of volatile market situations (Fast Market) we add a premium of 100% to the intended ranges.
Example:
Contract: F1BY JAN17
Mistrade Range: 0.30 EUR/MWh
Reference Price: 26.15 EUR/MWh
Price Range min: 26.00 EUR/MWh
Price Range max: 26.30 EUR/MWh
In case of a traded price of 26.40 EUR/MWh a significant deviation is given, whereas a traded price of 26.10 EUR/MWh usually will be considered as “within fair market conditions”. The new mistrade ranges for the regulated market can be found attached to this customer information as well as on our homepage under the following link under “Implementing Regulations”: https://www.eex.com/en/trading/rules-and-regulations/regulated-market
