Against the background of a significant increase in liquidity since launch of the market in May 2020, European Energy Exchange (EEX) will introduce a Settlement Window for EEX Japanese Power Futures on 21st June 2021. The Settlement Window will cover the period from 4:30pm – 5:30pm JST, which is 9:30am – 10:30am CEST and 8:30am – 9:30am CET respectively.
As standard practice in other EEX derivatives markets, such Settlement Window ensures that settlement prices for Japanese Power Futures, determined by EEX, reflect the market conditions towards the end of a trading day accurately. Only trades received by EEX in this Settlement Window will be considered in the determination of daily settlement prices.
