On February 1st 2021 the EEX will add a new Auctioneer to the Emission Auctions and will also introduce Future Styled Emission Options to the market.
On the primary market auction modernization fund and innovation fund will be available as additional auctioneers in our EEX Group DataSource products. Innovation fund was already introduced last year and we will update the historic data accordingly.
For our derivatives market we will introduce Future Styled Emission Options on February 1st 2021. In the case of Future Styled Emission Options, the payment of the option premium is not made by a one-time payment after the purchase of the option, but only when the option expires or is exercised. During the holding period, a daily settlement of the change in the option premium will take place in accordance with the Clearing Conditions of ECC AG.

- EEX Group DataSource Desktop App
- EEX Group DataSource Excel Tools
For the Emission Future Style Options the following new files will be available:
- FutureStyleEmissionAllowanceOptionMarketResults_YYYYMMDD.csv market_data/environmental/derivatives/csv/YYYY/YYYYMMDD
- FutureStyleEmissionAllowanceOptionHistory_YYYYMM.xlsx market_data/environmental/derivatives/xlsx/YYYY
Templates of the following files now include 2 additional fields to accommodate modernization fund and innovation fund as new auctioneers:
- EmissionSpotPrimaryMarketAuctionResults_YYYYMMDD.csv market_data/environmental/spot/csv/YYYY/YYYYMMDD
- EmissionSpotPrimaryMarketAuctionReport_YYYY.xlsx market_data/environmental/spot/xlsx/YYYY
