Following the changes that will be made to the European Gas Spot Index (EEX EGSI) calculation methodology see EEX communication, its publication will be affected on all EEX Group DataSource applications.
On our EEX Group DataSource sFTP, the following changes will occur:
- The file “additional_data/egsi/xlsx/YYYY/GasSpotEGSI_history_YYYY.xlsx” will stop being published from the 1st January 2023 onwards
- “EGSI” Tab will not be populated anymore for market_data/natgas/HUB/spot/csv/YYYY/YYYY/GasSpotHistory_HUB_YYYY.xlsx
- “IL” Lines will be removed for market_data/natgas/HUB/spot/csv/YYYYMMDD/YYYY/YYYYMMDD/GasSpotMarketResults_HUB_yyyymmdd.csv
Please also note that no new EEX EGSI values will be published from 1st January 2023 onwards for the EEX Group DataSource XLS Tool and EEX Group DataSource Desktop.
The last publication of EEX EGSI will occur on 29th December 2022 for the delivery day 30th December 2022.
The integration of the new EGSI into all EEX Group DataSource services will happen at a later stage. A communication will be sent out as soon as the EGSI values are re-instated in EEX Group DataSource products.
Until then the new EEX EGSI values will be provided on EEX website in 4 CSV files (EGSI Day, EGSI Weekend, EGSI Week, EGSI Month) published on the following page: https://www.eex.com/en/market-data/natural-gas/indices
New EGSI values can be retrieved from these files on daily basis. The structure of the files and their naming will remain the same.
