On June 28th 2021 EEX will expand its product range on the Derivatives Market with Financial settled Gas Futures. These new contracts are cash-settled against the European Gas Spot Index (EGSI) Benchmark. These new EGSI Benchmarks for the TTF, NCG and CEGH market area will succeed the current EGSI Index. For these market areas the EGSI Day and Weekend Benchmark will be published in all EEX Group DataSource Services. No change on customer side is required. Please note that the EGSI Benchmarks for Week and Month will be integrated at a later stage.
For all other market areas EEX will continue to publish the EGSI Index values. Please find EEX’s Benchmark statement here and the current Index Description here. We also updated the EEX Group DataSource specifications in the dowload section here.
With the introduction of the new futures we are happy to announce to offer a new daily updated file that will contain the daily EGSI values for all market areas. Access to the file will be free of charge and can be ordered through our webshop.
