EEX Pressemitteilung - EEX veröffentlicht Auktionskalender 2017 für Emissionsberechtigungen

Leipzig, 25 November 2016 – The European Energy Exchange (EEX) has published the calendar for the auctioning of EU emission allowances (EUA) for 2017 in coordination with the European Commission and the participating member states as well as with the competent German authorities.

    EU auctions

EEX will carry out EUA auctions on behalf of 25 member states on three days per week in the framework of the common EU auction platform. These auctions are scheduled to take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the period of 9 January to 14 December 2017.

    Auctions for Germany

In its capacity as the auction platform appointed by the Federal Republic of Germany, EEX will carry out weekly EUA auctions on Fridays, starting from 13 January until 15 December 2017.

    Auctions for Poland

Poland intends to use the common EU auction platform for auctioning its share of emission allowances until an opt-out platform has been procured by Poland. However, the execution of the Polish auctions in the framework of the CAP2 platform is still subject to the conclusion of a separate bilateral agreement with EEX. This is why confirmed dates for the Polish auctions have not yet been specified in the auction calendar. For all EUA auctions on EEX, the bidding window will be open from 9:00 to 11:00 CET. EEX provides detailed information in the auction calendar at the following link: http://www.eex.com/en/trading/calendar.
