Executive Board
Peter Reitz
Peter Reitz has been the Chief Executive Officer of EEX since 2011. From 2011 to 2023, he was also CEO of European Commodity Clearing (ECC). Prior to his appointment as CEO, Peter had overseen the development of EEX and its clearing house ECC as a member of the respective Supervisory Boards since 2007.
Peter started his career at Deutsche Börse AG in Frankfurt and worked at Dow Jones Indices in New York. In 2001, he joined the financial derivatives exchange Eurex, where he was a member of the Management Board until December 2018. He holds a degree in mathematics.
Anja Kiessling
Anja Kiessling has been the Chief Financial Officer of EEX since 2020.
Anja has been with EEX since 2008 and has gained valuable insights about the company in the Market Operations and later Controlling departments, which she has headed since 2011. Prior to this, she spent several years at an auditing company. Anja holds a degree in International Business Administration and is a certified accountant.
Steffen Köhler
Steffen Köhler has been the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director Exchange at EEX since 2012. He also has worked as a member of the Supervisory Board of Power Exchange Central Europe since 2016, and that of Nodal Exchange since 2017. Between 2012 and 2019, he was Chief Operating Officer of European Commodity Clearing AG.
Before joining the company, Steffen was Executive Director Product Development at the Eurex derivatives exchange. Prior to this he worked for several companies in the financial sector. He graduated from the University of Passau with a degree in business administration.
Jens Rick
Jens Rick has been Chief Information Officer at EEX and ECC since 2019.
Prior to joining EEX Group, Jens worked for Deutsche Börse Group since 2015. As Director Energy IT, he was responsible for the design, development and operation of the trading systems of the M7 product family and XBID, including sales and customer management. Prior to this, he managed various software and consulting companies in the financial sector, specialising in data management and trading infrastructure, among other things.
