Account holders in the French registry for Biogas Guarantees of Origin

To issue, transfer or use Guarantees of Origin (GOs) in France, it is necessary to have an account in the GOs registry. This page provides you with information on the registration process and the list of account holders.

Registration process

If you are already an account holder on the registry for Biogas Production Certificates (CPBs) 

You can request the opening of an account on the GOs registry free of charge to the admissions department of EEX (go-gaz@powernext.com).

If you are not an account holder on the registry for CPBs 

The main steps for opening an account on the GOs registry are the following: 

1. Download the admission file containing the following documents: 

• The General Terms and Conditions for the Registries of Guarantees of Origin and Biogas Production Certificates in France (STCs)
• The complete KYC, including the biogas GO appendix 
• The admission file (G01)

2. Complete the admission documents 

3. Send the documents to the EEX admission department

4. Sign via DocuSign

When the application is complete, a DocuSign envelope will be sent for your signature. Please note that the documents must be signed by the legal representative of your company or by an authorised person with the power of attorney from a legal representative. 

EEX will then send the login and password to connect to the secure part of the website.
