Dear trading participants,

Ten years after the launch, the EEX UK NBP gas market is now a highly liquid trading market with more than 10,000 monthly trades.

To further drive the market, EEX in cooperation with ECC will improve operational and cybersecurity of the current nomination procedures for executed trades by introducing single-sided
nomination from 23 March, 2025 onwards.

The single-sided nomination will further reduce operational complexity, as nomination will be done only via ECC, hence without any customer involvement.

If you wish to use the single-sided nomination on NBP, please refer to the ECC Clearing Circular 11/2025.

However, if you wish to continue as today with nominations on NBP resulting from EEX trades, the existing credentials of the shipper will be used for nomination by ECC.
