Anja Reimann – Sales Manager (EEX AG)

I have worked for EEX since March 2010. Initially, I worked at the Office Management Department before moving to the Sales Department. The transfer to a department which requires specific technical knowledge was not a matter of course, since I had not worked in the energy industry before.

Upon joining the Office Management Department, I initially got to know the company, its employees and processes. During my time there I had my first contact with customers, which gave me a first impression as to the aspects which are particularly important. After moving to the Sales Department, I was able to expand my knowledge of the industry and the customer requirements in my role as the assistant to the head of Sales and, subsequently, as the team assistant. I am now in charge of sales management accounting and the customer events organised by the department. I enjoy being able to work as a member of an international team with colleagues in Leipzig, London and Paris and, as a result, to constantly improve my language skills. Even key account management appears logical as a next step – and all this without a university degree and simply on the basis of commitment, a thirst for knowledge and enjoyment in the work. 

It is great that EEX places so much confidence in its employees and emphasises continuous further development so much.
