Dr. Hans-Bernd Menzel

Since November 1, 2002, Hans-Bernd Menzel holds the positions of Chief Executive Officer of the European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) and Managing Director of the European Energy Exchange in Leipzig.
Prior to his appointment, he was a managing partner of a renowned management consultancy in Frankfurt.
Maik Neubauer
COO
Maik Neubauer is a Member of the Management Board of European Energy Exchange AG and General Manager of European Commodity Clearing AG. In his capacity as the Chief Operating Officer in both companies, he is responsible for trading and settlement processes, market supervision, information technology and the field of sales & market development in Europe.
Prior to joining the management board of EEX, Mr. Neubauer has worked in the field of management consulting and private equity for many years. He started his professional career in 1996 with IBM Global Services, where he headed the IBM Global Financial Markets Consulting division in Europe until he moved to the field of private equity.
Mr. Neubauer studied Computer Sciences in Hamburg, International Business Management in Edinburgh, achieving an MBA, as well as European and International Business Law (M.B.L.) at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
