Dr. Hans-Bernd Menzel
Chief Executive Officer
Managing Director Exchange
Since 1st November, 2002, Hans-Bernd Menzel holds the positions of Chief Executive Officer of the European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) and Managing Director of the European Energy Exchange in Leipzig.
Prior to his appointment, he was a managing partner of a renowned management consultancy in Frankfurt.
Dr. Christoph Mura
Chief Operating Officer
Christoph Mura has been a member of the management board of EEX since 1st January 2009.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Mura held the position of the sole director of boerse-stuttgart AG and managing director of boerse-stuttgart Holding GmbH. Christoph Mura began his professional career in a management consultancy for IT systems in securities trading of which he was a founding partner. Moreover, he was managing director and a member of the management board of agens, a consultancy group specialising in banks and insurance companies.
Iris Weidinger
Chief Financial Officer
Iris Weidinger was appointed a member of the management board of EEX on 15th August 2008.
Prior to her appointment she was EEX AG’s chief representative for the finance and human resource functions and authorised signatory of European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC). Following her training as an expert in business management and as a tax consultant she worked in the commercial trainee programme of E. Breuninger GmbH & Co., Stuttgart and PwC Deutsche Revision AG, Leipzig.
