Admission of EEX Members for Trading of Cooperation Products

All participants on the EEX derivatives market are already admitted to trading in cooperation products. If this is not yet the case, please submit the following form:

The following forms are required for admittance of additional traders for trading in emission rights, please submit the following form:

• Application for Setup/Modification to EEX User IDs
• Declaration of Personal Reliability (Exchange Trader)

After approval of documents, participants receive a respective admission confirmation from EEX.

Admission of Eurex Members for Trading of Cooperation Products
In order for Eurex Trading Members to participate in trading of cooperation products, a formal admission as member of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) is required. Eurex offers a simplified admission process on behalf of EEX exclusively to Eurex members. A detailed description is contained in the Eurex Trading & Clearing Member Information - CO₂-related changes.

The following supporting documents must be submitted by Eurex Trading Members in order to be admitted as a trading participant in the cooperation products at EEX:

• Admission application of Eurex exchange participants as exchange participants for trading in emission rights on the European Energy Exchange (form)
• Exchange traders and contact persons Back Office for trading emission rights at European Energy Exchange (form)
• Mail authority (form)
• VAT Details (form)
• Application for the Granting of a Clearing Licence of Eurex Clearing AG (form)

After approval of submitted forms, participants will receive their membership notification with EEX through Eurex.

Admission of Traders
The cooperation products will be assigned to the admitted trading member and respective traders as soon as the Eurex market participant is admitted as EEX exchange member. Only traders registered in the application form are entitled to trade the cooperation products. In order to ensure that only traders on the application form receive access rights for trading in the cooperation products, the security coordinator has to define the respective access rights for these traders. Access rights cover the assignment of access levels for the different system functions. They define the right to trade particular contracts and maximum order sizes for each exchange trader. Further traders can be admitted at a later date by submitting the respective trader application forms.

Technical Access

Technical Access to CO₂ Products
With the proposed "plug-&-play" offer, Eurex participants are able to trade EEX CO₂ products via their existing infrastructure and connectivity. Separate technical connection to EEX is not necessary.

Besides the official front-end offered by EEX and Eurex, cooperation products can be accessed via alternative front-ends of recognized Independent Software Vendors (ISV) as well as via all existing order routing systems over the VALUES API of the Eurex^® system. The energy market-established Trayport GlobalVision^TM system can be connected via the EEX-Communicator software.
